Our R&D, professional services and sales and marketing groups are continuing with their furious pace.

As most of you know, we launched CPQ V7 and CallidusCloud WorkFlow R5 this month. Both new releases have many new significant features. Some of the most notable CPQ enhancements are multilingual data; significant speed enhancements for the most complex proposals and contracts; ability to handle partial orders in the CPG and FMCG space; and enhancements to our up-selling and cross-selling capabilities via promotions, bundles, special orders, volume discounts.

CallidusCloud WorkFlow customers have gained the following features: ability to allow non-users to create cases; ability to handle cases with iterative data, such as multi line item returns, expense reports, purchase requisition approvals; ability for users to create their own case groupings; ability for users to save their favorite search filters; ability to update multiple cases at once; built in chat; single sign-on, etc.

But we are not stopping there. We have already started working on CPQ V8 and CallidusCloud WorkFlow R6. One of the key areas of focus will be improved collaboration with our users so that they can better keep up with our pace of innovation.

We've also gained many new customers, including ones in the verticals where we were not present in the past. What's particularly exciting is that these customers created a free trial on their own, did their own POC setup and proved to themselves that the application does what they need before purchasing it. Shouldn't all enterprise software be sold that way?

Enhancements to WebSource CPQ Demonstrate Continued Leadership in End-User Functionality and Administrative Ease of Use

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, March 31, 2009 – Webcom, Inc., the leader in simplified quote-to-order enablement for the selling of complex products and services, announced today the availability of version 7.0 of its market leading WebSource CPQ (Configuration, Pricing, Quotation & Proposal) solution. The new release continues to demonstrate the leadership Webcom brings to the market in terms of both end-user capabilities and administration ease of use, set-up and ongoing maintenance.

  • Special pricing and promotions simplifying the application of complex promotions
  • Document generation improvements
  • Enhanced multilingual data
  • Partial orders addressing the needs of master/blanket quotes and partial orders/deliveries
  • Advanced offline synchronization triggering workflow actions for CRM integration
  • Further B2C ease of use in regards to catalog navigation, quantity inputs and bulk validation
  • Enhanced notifications including XLS file attachments
  • Product Aliases having effectivity dates

Simplification Expert Tips

  • Use the promotions and special pricing (Setup » Pricing/Calculations » Promotions/Special Pricing) feature to setup special pricing for customers, promotions, bundles, etc. If a lot of special pricing rules are needed, then they can easily be exported and imported through an Excel spreadsheet.
  • The administration has a statistics section where you can see quote activity from users and quote history. Very useful to see what your users are up to. This section is at the bottom of the administrative menu, next to the Exit Setup link.
  • You also have the capability to change every label used throughout the system. If you don't like a term, such as 'Customize' in the catalog, you can easily change it using our Dictionaries tool (Setup » General » Dictionaries). Additionally, if you are using CPQ across multiple languages, you can now translate all labels and administrative defined inputs, such as products, attributes, statuses, approval rules, etc. Appropriate admin sections allow you to translate your inputs, if necessary.
